For the 10th release in our catalog we at From 0-1 chose to call upon rapidly rising American Techno star, Memnok, to deliver us some dark magick. And he answered with the phenomenal track, "Placid". Memnok comes back to us after we released one of his first EP's to great effect over a year ago. Placid emanates from a dark place with it's sparseness and uncompromisingly evil feel. Big bottom, foreboding vocal snippets, and eerie pads and synths portray a very dark essence. Accompanying the original are remixes from American up and comers, and From 0-1 label heads, Milkplant, and Sone. Sone's Detached Remix continues the spell that the original casts. Deep, dark, and absolutely powerful, Sone's mix and it's massive low end might be tampering with the brown note. Beware. Lastly, Milkplant rounds off the release and jacks up the energy with a floor storming, driving example of the producer's tendency to issue no-holds-barred raw techno tracks.
